Many women recognize the importance of self breast exams for detecting lumps. But how many know the symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer can occur without any palpable mass being detected?
Symptoms May Include:
Sudden swelling, sometimes as much as a 8 ounces (a cup)
Itching, Scratching and/or pain
Pink, red or dark colored areas, sometimes with an unusual texture, similar to an orange
Nipple retraction and/or nipple discharge
Change in color and texture of the areola
